ARL hosted the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility in Libraries & Archives (IDEAL) Conference in 2019 and 2024, and the National Diversity in Libraries Conference (NDLC) in 2008, 2010, and 2016. The conferences raised awareness and appreciation of workplace diversity issues through the exploration of theory and practice in the libraries and archives.
